Being LOGISTICS UK/FTA Agency Excellence accredited we have a robust recruitment process to ensure all our Drivers are suitability qualified and skilled to carry out your Driving assignments.  We have processes in place that all our Drivers have to go through prior to being offered an client assessment or assignment.  An Extract of that process is shown below:

We use a First Interview/Telephone Interview form to obtain as much information as possible about a new Driver, check his/her Driving Licence, DCPC details and Digi Card, this will allow us to carry out an initial risk assessment of the person prior to moving forward onto the next stage of  the recruitment process.

  1. Download their Digi card onto our reader
  2. Use Digi fobpro to analyse the Drivers Digi Card to assess any infringement details and what work has been carried out in the last 30 days.

Serious Tachograph infringements or no record of driving experience and the recruitment process will end at this point

  1. Take our Road Transport Regulation/WTD Test 1 or 2. (30 Questions, 75% pass mark required)
  2. Fill out our Driver Application Form. The Driver MUST prove their identity and eligibility to work in the UK.

 Recruitment Criteria/Process for Prospective New and Introduced Drivers

  1. All Drivers MUST have held a C+E Licence for a minimum of 12 months with a proven track record of driving experience. Holding a UK letter of registration for EC Driver licence holders will be an advantageous, although not absolutely necessary, we can help Drivers in processing a D9 submission to DVLA to obtain a registration licence document.
  2. All Drivers must hold a current Driver CPC Card or proof of entitlement.
  3. All Drivers must have a current in date Digital Tachograph Card.
  4. Having a National Insurance number (NIN) will be advantageous.
  5. All EC Drivers MUST be able to have a working knowledge of the UK language both written and verbal.
  6. All Drivers MUST have a full understanding of Tachograph Rules and Regulations and of The Working Time Directive Regulations (WTD).
  7. All Drivers must attend our office to undertake the 30 question test to prove that they understand the regulations in paragraph 6 and attain an 75% pass mark.  If the applicant fails the test, we will give them the attached learning pack (see attached) that they must go away and learn.  The applicant can come back within a couple of days and attempt a test again.

Failure of the second test at this point and the recruitment process will end.

Once all the above has been satisfactory completed, we will apply to our clients for a driving assessment for individual Drivers. Drivers must pass the Clients Driving assessment. Failure at this point and the Driving Staff recruitment process will end.

If the Driver passes our recruitment Process then we will continue to monitor their performance throughout their employment.
