Phoenix Drivers was first established in 2000 by Graham Brown, the Managing Director.
We are a pure professional Driver Agency. We have been supplying temporary and permanent Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to Haulage Companies in and around Spalding for the past 21+ years. Due to IR35 Off-payroll regulations we can only cater for PAYE Drivers for compliance purposes or until there is a change in legislation.
In the early years, our industry was fairly unregulated, however, certainly in the last 10 - 15 years, there have been a host of regulations introduced: Working Time Directive, EU Directives, DCPC Cards, Digital Tachographs and Agency Worker Regulations. Being a professional Agency, we took the bull by the horns and welcomed these changes and we have systems in place to ensure full compliance.
We are Logistics UK/FTA Driver Agency Excellence accredited being 1 of only 18 Agencies in the UK to be accredited with this prestigious award.

Graham Brown - Managing Director.
I have been involved with the Haulage and Logistics Industry for 46 years. Having served in the military (Army) within the Logistics environment for some 24 years, and also having held several civilian posts in the Haulage and Distribution industry. I decided to branch out and take the plunge to work for myself. To cut a long story short, for the last 21 years I have been the owner/operator of Phoenix Drivers Limited. I have an experienced and loyal team behind me to help drive the business forward to ensure the long term sustainability of the Company especially now in light of the 2021 reforms and changes to IR35 Employment status.
Dave Stimson - Transport & Operation Manager
I have been involved and worked in the Haulage Industry for some 41 years, originally as a Class 1 Driver carrying out nationwide deliveries all over the UK. After 20 years of Driving HGV/LGV vehicles, I moved into the transport office of a prestigious national haulier. I am a holder of a National CPC and I understand all the regulations in connection with Drivers hours, Working Time Directive, Compliance and Haulage Operations. My experience of load planning, traffic operations and compliance are helpful tools in the challenging environment of Managing Agency Drivers Operations
Hazel Stimson - Payroll & Accounts Manager
I joined the Company in 2001 having been involved with Payroll and Accounts Management in one form or another over the past 36 years. I have a wealth of experience in both Sage Payroll, Sage Accounts and Microsoft Office applications. I assist the Managing Director with Human Resources and Compliance issues as and when required to enusre every aspect of the business, including employment law is being adhered to.
Lynda Robinson - Admin & Sales Support Assistant
My role at Phoenix is to provide Sales & Admin support to the Managing Director Graham Brown, the Operations Manager Dave Stimson and Payroll and Accounts Manager Hazel Stimson. The business operates 24/7 and is continually expanding and administration becomes vital to help the company run smoothly.
My role here is very different from what I am used to but I embraced the new challenge and I am pleased I did as the staff at Phoenix Drivers Ltd are very professional and extremely approachable.

Karolina Ciesla - Asst Operations Manager
I joined Phoenix Drivers Ltd in March 2021 having worked for many years in the Driver Recruitment Industry locally in Spalding. I have an in depth knowledge of Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and Planning Operations to ensure our Drivers are compliant in all aspects of their choosen profession. On a daily basis, I am in contact with our clients to ensure we satisfy their requirements to the best of our ability and ensure our Drivers are utilised in the most cost effective way. Through our Social Media press releases, I help recruit, induct and train new Drivers into the business. Part of my planning process involves: planning Drivers daily assignments, obtaining weekly Driver forecast availability and then using that information to convert into Sales. My native lanuage is Polish.
